Project Staff Assistant Campus Title: Community Innovation Coordinator School/Division: Research Foundation Department Research Foundation for SUNY at Cortland Salary Range: Competitive Position Effort Full-Time Summary of Position: Provide programmatic coordination and administrative support for the programs of the college that emphasize campus-community engagement, including its grant-funded activities, the colleges Main Street SUNY Cortland community outreach facility, and our developing programs in economic and social innovation and entrepreneurship. Work 37.5 hours per week, daytime hours, and some occasional weekends and early evenings. Position is funded for two years with continued employment dependent on grant funding. Major Responsibilities and/or Classes to be taught Assist with the development, coordination and promotion of the colleges activities pertaining to economic and social innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly as they are connected to Main Street SUNY Cortland and the downtown Cortland Business Innovation Center. Organize/coordinate events, trainings, mini-conferences, and conferences. Assist with conducting needs analyses of area for-profit and not-for-profits. Assist with grant development and administration for the support of the colleges campus-community collaborations, including economic and social innovation and entrepreneurship. Provide leadership for grant implementation, to include ensuring grant goals are met and that grant expenditures are timely and in compliance with grant regulations. Monitor grant budgets and expenditures in collaboration with the Research Foundations fiscal staff and the Research and Sponsored Programs Office. Manage SUNY Cortlands Main Street SUNY Cortland downtown facility, including; -promoting use of the facility -scheduling use of the facility, and resolving conflicts pertaining to the use of the facility -assist with publicity of events in the facility by writing press releases and creating flyers and brochures pertaining to building events. Functional and Supervisory Relationships Works under the supervision of the Director of the Institute for Civic Engagement, but also works with other campus programs, such as the Center for Economic Education, to assist with the coordination, and promotion of their activities, particularly those that take place at Main Street SUNY Cortland.
