Project Update #19: The Advanced Copy is Here! Hey there everybody! I am very excited to send this message out to you and let you know that while at GenCon I received the advanced copy of Paradise Fallen. This copy is the final copy of what I can expect the retail version to 100% look like and I have to tell you, IT LOOKS AWESOME! I had a meeting with my manufacturer at GenCon and they were able to deliver it to me the first day of the show so I was able to show it off to a lot of people, including Eric Martin with Board Game Geek. They filmed a video of me giving a brief explanation of the game but I haven’t seen the video as of yet. Look for that soon on the Board Game Geek Page for Paradise Fallen. I also had the chance to play the game with some fans and they couldn’t stop talking about how awesome everything came out. It is always a great feeling when you all recognize the results of the hard work that I put into every Crash Games Project. I wish that I could have shared the un-boxing experience with you but I didn’t take my professional camera with me to GenCon because it is too much to lug around at a crazy event filled with 50,000 people. I am planning on filming an un-boxing video once I get my next set of advanced/review copies in which will be within the next 2 weeks. I will post another update when the videos are uploaded to the Crash Games, You Tube Channel. If you don’t subscribe to our You Tube Channel, there isn’t a better time than now. Click here to subscribe. youtube/user/CrashGamesLLC The good news is that the 2mm thick Bonus Island tiles came out amazing and I think that you will all really enjoy playing a game with them. The unfortunate news for me is they put the Paradise Fallen box over that magic 13 ounce mark so shipping the games is going to cost an substantial increased amount of money to ship. This is a bummer but I will never cheap out on you guys and I know that those tiles are going to make your game more awesome, so in the end I’m okay with paying more. Speaking of awesome wait until you all see the Outrigger Canoe Meeples, I believe these alone are worth the price of the game. I had to pay out of pocket to have them laser cut and screen printed on both sides but the result is probably the single piece I’m most proud of as a board game publisher thus far. They are simply amazing. The bag came out really well too and will hold all the games cards, standard Island location cards as well as all the game tokens. The Bonus Island Tiles are just a bit too thick to fit into the bag with everything. The production is on schedule and we are still on schedule for our estimated delivery of November (knock on wood) we should be getting loaded onto the boat before long. As soon as I have some more substantial news I promise to update you all. Until then enjoy these pictures I took of the advanced copy. Until next time…
