Promote peace, minister tells Kwara PDP supporters The Minister of National Planning, Dr Abubakar Suleiman, on Wednesday in Ilorin advised supporters of the PDP in Kwara to promote peace and refrain from actions that could destabilise the party. Suleiman gave the advice on Wednesday at Ajikobi Ward in Ilorin West Local Government Area of the state while monitoring the on-going registration for Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC). The minister, who described the turnout for an earlier exercise to obtain PVC in the area as impressive, urged residents of the area to come out enmasse for the current registration exercise. Suleiman, who also deplored the recent violence in the area, said some politicians were trying to intimidate PDP supporters. He, however, expressed optimism that the party would excel in the 2015 general elections in the state.
