Promotion and Marketing Assistant / Conceptual Copy Writer for Zeina (Love Saves The Day Festival, High Definition Festival, Global Gathering Festival, In:Motion Series Bristol, More Love Rio de Janeiro) Full Time £14,500 - £16,000 per annum Available From: Friday 1st August 2014 Description We are looking for a talented Conceptual Copywriter to join the team. You will work as part of the promotions team bringing a dynamic point of view to each project. You will have experience in either branding or promotions and be able to approach each project with fresh eyes and ideas. Concepts and copy should be your forte, but you should also have a strong interest in the music industry. You will be responsible for the promotion of several music events, using your skills to create unique promotional strategies for each. You will be a team player working on a full life-cycle production of work. From the ‘light bulb’ moment to the launch, we need someone who can come up with great ideas and execute them. You should be able to communicate effectively with brand partners and the team, maintaining a strong working relationship. Main focus is to drive ticket sales by engaging people on line in addition to other mediums by exciting the audience with innovative, informative content on all platforms and increasing the numbers on our social media pages and databases. It is essential to ensure our promotion is ‘out there’ and create a buzz with the target audience by hyping up the venues, bookings, peripheral entertainment, Creative on site and ticket pricing. Motivating and empowering the promotions team to send out the same message complement this. Must maintain excellent relationships with all other 3rd party websites and publications by syndicating and updating their editorial departments with news features daily. You must become a model networker and be building and nurturing new relationships with media and digital promotion teams. Liaising with artist management to obtain assets and invite them to engage in reciprocal promotion will aid the goal of accelerating ticket sales to free your time to work on marketing the brand as a whole. • Social Media / Website Content - Continuously producing content for website and for use on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram in the forms of blogs, new events, videos and graphics • Artist Asset Collection - Responsible for collection from agents: Up-to-date press packs including: Press shots / Promotional video edits / Biography / Branded merchandise / Mixes we can use or include on our website and or e flyers / interviews (phone / video / email) • External Web Advertising: Maintain all external web advertising (banners / mail shots) and adjust the timeline accordingly • Forums: thread all messages boards daily with new information and press releases for each event • Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Tumblr: To be done independently of each other, content to be planned and scheduled in 2 weeks in advance if possible (Facebook) • Facebook Advertising: Looking at data collected on the digital bible and demographics from last year for strategic advertising spend on Facebook and executing • Tumblr / Instagram: updating both daily with relevant and irrelevant content • You Tube: updating the channel daily with tracks, video’s from previous events and new viral video’s produced in house • On - Line Listings: to be updated weekly with content. • Reciprocal Promotion: To monitor artists and join promoters websites/ MySpaces/ Facebook (group and fan pages) for reciprocal promotion in terms of our presences on their sites • Data collection and statistical analysis: To record the growth weekly for each media. • Responsible for team meetings in network cities • Contact point for external advertisers and ticket selling networks • Manage digital promotion team, getting tasks and reporting lines for them to adhere to • Assist with the maintenance of the marketing budgets throughout the campaigns Skills & Qualifications We’re looking for portfolios that encompass strong and simple concepts, translating great ideas into and across any medium. (Please bare in mind when applying that our main mediums are Digital, Print and Guerrilla.) - Reasonable knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, basic CMS / Digital experience - At least 1.5 / 2 years experience working in a similar position is essential - Literate in Excel and Word, basic knowledge of Power Point - Excellent copywriting skills - Verbal and written communication skills - Experienced in talking to large groups of people confidently - This is a fast paced and at times, a high pressure role, the candidate must be able to cope under pressure and be flexible to jump from one task to something completely different without faltering - Must love, fields, nightclubs, staying out late, making new friends, all types of music but especially electronic - Driving license, preferred but not essential Please send CV’s with covering letters to iam@zeinaraad
