Property Reality Company Market Research Executive Job in Kenya January 15, 2015 Job Description Job Title: Research ExecutiveAs a market research executive, you’ll tend to specialize in one type of research – consumer and social. You’ll carry out research using one of two main methods: Quantitative – analysis based on numbers, from surveys of large samples of people Qualitative – analysis based on language, from focus groups and in-depth questionnaires. Depending on the type of research, in your work you’ll typically: Meet clients to discuss research projects Come up with a plan or proposal and present it to the client Manage a budget Design questionnaires and organize surveys Brief interviewers and researchers Monitor progress of surveys Analyze data and present results to the marketing manager Advise the company on how we can best use the research. Skills, Interests and Qualities To be a market research executive you’ll need to have: Excellent number and computer skills The ability to analyze and interpret statistics Good communication and ‘people’ skills Written communication skills for report writing and designing questionnaires Creative problem-solving skills Accuracy and attention to detail Good organizational and time-management skills The ability to work well under pressure Initiative and teamwork skills An interest in psychology and behavior Business awareness. Qualifications Required A Bachelors in any Social Sciences Degree At least 3-5 years solid experience in supervising research Business development experience required Business development experience in research an advantage Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Swahili Experience with data collection through surveys, observations, interviews, and/or focus groups Comfortable making presentations to large groups of people Ability to work independently and as part of a team Organized and efficient, with excellent attention to detail A positive attitude and flexibility with changing circumstances Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in Statistics Analysis and field research Who should apply. The Quant: This person is the data analytics wiz. He/She is constantly analyzing the data to determine how the marketing campaigns are performing, both internally and externally. He/She’s a master at spreadsheets and social monitoring. She seeks to provide data on actual performance versus expectations. The Social Butterfly: How many followers do you have on your social media platform? This person already has a lot of followers or has a personality that attracts people in droves.
