Proposals for The Next TI Game: 1) Trade II. Seriously, screw Trade III. Theres no real incentive to take it, Mercs aside, and the trade dynamics become 30 times less interesting the way it works. Maybe tack on a Mercs mechanic to Trade II to keep them? 2) Keep the system-sorting thing in place - make sure every player during setup has a hand of mostly-decent systems, a few good systems and a few bad/special systems. Resource-rich games are more interesting games. 3) Objectives - This is a tough one. I like Bureaucracy, as it means the game can change massively throughout, but I understand how the lack of initial direction is an annoyance that encourages pointless wars. 4) Despite it being fanfiction, I think we might want to give Star By Star a shot. 5) Similarly - Leaders. We havent used them in a while, and I think theyre better than we give them credit for. 6) Anyone can exchange Keeper Of Gates if the Ghosts are in play and not the player who got it. Poor Arnon Chor, that was just ridiculous. 7) Arborec players producing from their Space Ducks will be fed to venomous plants. Anything else?
