Proposed Amendment #1: Each member of Congress, duly elected, may not serve more than 2 and one half terms in the Senate, or 6 and one half terms in the House of Representatives. In addition, no appointed bureaucrat within the government may be reappointed for an additional term of office by a different elected official. Proposed Amendment #2: No election, whether it be for an individual, ballot proposal or legislative bill within each state, may be influenced or proposed by any organization, group, or individual that does not originate, nor is funded entirely from that state. Both elected and unelected officials are the culprits of our problems, in addition to a complacent and lethargic populace. There should only be self governance and self reliance within each state, while coming together as a whole when necessary for the good of the commonwealth.
