Protestors seek introduction of Public Administration as a subject in colleges and higher secondary school Srinagar: Demanding the introduction of Public Administration as a subject at higher secondary and college level, scores of students taking part in different competitive examinations, Saturday staged a protest in Press Enclave Srinagar and alleged that despite getting assurances from authorities, Public Administration is still not being introduced at higher secondary and college levels. “Except Jammu and Kashmir Public Administration as a subject has been implemented all across India. When we appear for IAS or KAS examinations, we find Public Administration as an optional subject. Students from Jammu and Kashmir avoid this subject as it is not being taught in colleges,” members of Jammu and Kashmir Public Administration Forum said. The protestors appealed to the authorities to introduce this subject at an earliest in colleges so that students of the state could compete with other students of the country. (CNS)
