Protip: At the end of Mass Effect 3? Yeah, dont follow your natural gaming instinct and shoot at The Catalyst. Just do not. [SPOILERS BELOW] Also, what kind of bullshit ass game design is it when you HAVE GOT TO play multiplayer in order to achieve the best endings? Does Multiplayer REALLY get your dicks that hard, EA? Do you just hear the word and have to viciously beat your dicks? Look, I understand working for a big producer is the only way to make your game and be able to get it out to as many people as possible. Its a slowly changing trend, sure, but for the time being its the only route. Is it really worth having to deal with being forced to add features nobody wants or asked for? Is it really worth being forced to release incomplete products? Having to put disc locked content? I pretty much shotgunned all three games over the last two weeks, the first game was great, a bit slow in combat, but had a very strong and compelling narrative. ME2 was perfect in my eyes; streamlined combat, great characterization, an even more compelling story that really added to a sense of urgency. You could really get to know your surroundings, get a feel for all of the characters. ME3 felt like...a Triple A title. Dark, gritty, combat heavy...even the Normandy was all dark and spooky. The combat was fast, but so fast that you didnt really feel like you were accomplishing anything. Just shooting with guns that you can make be vaaastly over powering. I got that all hell has broken loose, and that shits going down. I got it...but it just didnt feel like BioWares hearts were in ME3. It felt like they made it because they HAD to, not because they wanted to. I think the fact that there is no possible way to save Shepard at the end shows that.
