Proud of our City Planning Commission this evening, we passed the revised Commercial Design Standards. We saw a complete redraw of the apartment complex going in near the Summit of Softball, which showed real thoughtfulness for the community its going to be part of. We also saw a changing of the guard, as it was time to elect new officers for the Planning Commission. I was proud to nominate my old friend, confidant in planning; Jimmy Eller to be the new Chairman. He will be replacing my other dear friend Joe Kochis, who has been Chairman for several years and has done a fantastic job. Ruthie Gray has been moved up to the Vice Chair position, and our new friend Traci Bennett-Hobek has taken over the revamped Secretary position. I was proud to make these nominations, as they are all exceptional people who care a great great deal about this City. It was a good night to live in Collegedale.
