He didnt cut spending Actually, the Admin spent $5 million LESS than what council approved in the budget. With 2015 budget, 26+ departments/facilities will have lower budget than previous year. His projects are incomplete The medical school project was just included in Governor Pences state budget. Before Mayor Winnecke was elected, the city failed THREE times to build a convention hotel. Currently, the city is still working with its developer to make the hotel a reality. He hasnt reduced crime Last year, Evansville was named one of the safest cities in the state. Also, meth labs were down 50% in 2014. Its important to note that Mayor Winnecke would credit the Evansville Police Department and not himself for any reductions in crime. He hasnt fixed our roads The Mayor negotiated the full cloverleaf at the Lloyd/41 Interchange that will take 2 stoplights off of the Lloyd Expressway. Also, the citys first complete street was opened last year when the Oak Hill Road project was finished. Those are just a few responses to the attacks made today by his opponent... Its going to be a long campaign with plenty of corrections to be made!
