Proud #teambeatson supporter Nisha Kaur popped into our fundraising hub to hand over donations she received for #thebeatson from getting her hair cut. She also donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust which provides real-hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment. Like so many Nisha has a connection with the Beatson as her step-dad, Brian, was a patient there, but sadly passed away at the beginning of the year. Nisha wanted to do something that was a personal challenge and cutting off her long hair was something she was extremely nervous about! After initially hoping to raise a few hundred pounds, her final total was an incredible £1, 395! Nisha was overwhelmed by all the support shown from her family, friends, neighbours and her school and she is incredibly grateful to them. A massive thank you goes out to Nisha for raising this superb amount, we simply could not do our work without her incredible support!
