Proverbs 30:7-9 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them - TopicsExpress

Proverbs 30:7-9 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. There is temptation to sin in any station in life. Whether living in poverty or excess, iniquity rises up in our hearts and seeks to ensnare us. Only the power of Christ can save us from falling short; only He can build the bridge needed to escort us into the presence of our Father in Heaven. There is nothing wrong with riches or poverty in and of themselves, yet evil prepares to come to us in both. Let whatever God has blessed you with in life be enough. Let His grace be sufficient for you. Let His provision be sufficient for you. Let Him be your all in all, for He alone is able.
