Proverbs 30 GOD’S WORD Translation Four Things That Are Small—Yet Smart and Strong 24 Four things on earth are small, yet they are very wise: 25 Ants are not a strong species, yet they store their food in summer. 26 Rock badgers are not a mighty species, yet they make their home in the rocks. 27 Locusts have no king, yet all of them divide into swarms by instinct. 28 A lizard you can hold in your hands, yet it can even be found in royal palaces. 5 “Every word of God has proven to be true. He is a shield to those who come to him for protection. Because strength is something to be desired, people do not want to admit weakness (whether physical, emotional, mental, or moral). Acknowledging God, a higher being, would lead to acknowledging weakness as a human being. Christianity and creation say something very different: “the weak shall lead the strong.” We see this in the Bible (Moses, Paul, David, Gideon Jesus, etc.) The weak were brought to a place in life, were they relied on God’s strength and wisdom- not their own strength or intelligence. “He gives power to the faint (weak), and to them that have no might, he increases strength. … they wait upon the Lord and he shall renew their strength” When God told Paul, “My strength (power) is made perfect in weakness,” the apostle proclaimed, “Most gladly then I will rather boast about my weaknesses, for when I am weak, I am strong God told Gideon get his army down to only 300 men, so all will know it was the Lord that gave them victory! God alone is all-powerful. He has all the strength we need. And he alone deserves all the glory. Therefore God has ordained that “the weak shall lead the strong.”
