Prypiat. Liquidation of the consequences of Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster. Liquidators are washing apartment blocks, collecting the upper layers of soil, in which the biggest amount of radiation is concentrated. For those, who havent realised what happened: the Accident at Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant can be compared with the explosion of a vacuum cleaner, from which almost all the dust flew out. In our case, the dust is radioactive. The dust spread according to the direction of the wind. Less amount of dust fell out at the rest of the places in the radius around the vacuum cleaner. During the last 28 years after the Disaster the work has been carried out in order to liquidate the consequences of the Accident - contiminated layers of soil and constructions have been collected and removed to prepared repositories for disposal.
