Psalm 103:9-10 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. All people need a Savior because of sin. Jesus Christ is that Savior. God has chosen to see all those who believe through Jesus. We see sin, but God chooses to see righteousness in Christ. God chooses to deal with us based on what His Son has accomplished. This is why Jesus Christ is the narrow gate, the way, the truth, and the life. This is why no-one can come to the Father except through Jesus Christ. God has chosen to offer full redemption and reconciliation through His Son. That is the good news. We are not doomed to the consequences of sin. We are not hopelessly trapped in our prison of self. In our darkness, a doorway filled with light opened up and revealed the way to God. That doorway is Jesus! He has invited all to come, and promised rest, eternal life, and a burden that is light.
