Psalm 63:1 — O GOD, You are my God, earnestly will I seek You; my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is. Father, I declare you are my God. You are my God and worthy to be praised. My heart longs after You. I thirst for You like deer in need of water. My very inner self, the very core of my being cries out to you that I might know You as I am known. My flesh is in need of You. Without Your presence I am nothing. Teach me to seek Your face when I am dry and weary—to seek Your face when the enemy comes against me and says, “Hath God Said?” I declare You are my life. You are the very air I breathe and nothing else can satisfy the longing of my heart other than You. I am the sheep of Your Hand and do not seek or follow another. I hear Your voice and walk accordingly. My heart is captivated by You and I am ravished by Your beauty. I am in the secret place of Your love and You are showing me the hidden things of my heart which keep me from seeking Your face. You are my God. Yes, You are my God and I choose to seek You for when I do You are found…and I have found You. I have drawn near to You and You have drawn near to me. I am a seeker of the face of God. The goodness of the Lord is passing before me and I am changed…Amen
