Psychology is accusing the 12 step program of causing displacement; syndrome , Basic Text of A.A quotes Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path ,yet AA has probably the worst success rate in all of medicine according to the medical industry . Then the subject of God came up- here’s my thoughts on that According to what I learned when I attended way back when,I believed in God I knew he was greater than me , but I stayed high on something why ? Either God was not working for me, or I realy didn’t know him, and if I didn’t know him , how could I believe in him ? came to believe >> God can, but who was God ? at that time Group of Drunks step 3 so I let him. Acceptance is key page 449 of the AA big book . if it is true that 90 % of the people who attend AA /NA failed it’s because 1 they get comfortable in their Recovery ( we called it forgetting where we came from, ) 2 we cannot or will not accept the fact that we are POWERLESS , if we are not powerless , we can handle our addiction, and if we can handle our addiction we don’t need a Higher Power . Therefore we cannot thoroughly follow the path . Any thoughts ?+
