Psychology is so interconnected with physiology. The soldier, - TopicsExpress

Psychology is so interconnected with physiology. The soldier, wounded, terrified who manages one more step...because someone else needs him. The athlete, injured, exhausted who summons a final effort, because the contest is on the line. Or the mother who lifts the Volkswagen off of her child... Ive always been pretty dogged, pretty willful. Id become increasingly fatigued in weeks past. That should have been a sign...but Im accustomed to being tired, Im wired to press on. Its a function of being engaged in life and having multiple commitments. When I finally broke down and the doctors said the word, Stroke, I really became frail. Each step I took seemed fraught with peril, understanding that it might be my last. And when the neurologist told me that no procedures were indicated at this time, that an aspirin regimen would suffice, I suddenly gained confidence, I gained vitality. Same person, different mindset. I think in that way, we are all alike. Today is lovely, a fine day for golf. But I think Im gonna be satisfied with two loads of laundry done and a pleasant walk around the block. You Brewery Golf League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, dont you sleep on Tucker. Ill be baaaaaack.....;)
