Psychotic Evolution Schizophrenia could very well be a - TopicsExpress

Psychotic Evolution Schizophrenia could very well be a painful readjustment back to reality. It is only painful, however, because we live in a world which is extremely paranoid about states of consciousness which is outside of the social norm. Thus, we discard psychotic experiences as a disease which ought to be cured. But let us remember, that children has to be informed what form of consciousness is socially accepted and what is regarded as abnormal and insane. Before they are taught the rules of these matters, they can only notice different patterns of behaviors in people. Thus, what we call sanity is simply the vote of a group of individuals, who claim that their perception and experience of reality, is the normal one. We then install this version of reality into our children and tell them they ought to play by the rules. Those who do not play by the rule are discriminated, isolated and shipped of to special psychiatric hospitals where they are readjusted back to these rules. But what an incredible limited and very frightening world to live in. Let us remember, that some of our greatest minds has had psychotic experiences - Carl Jung, Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, Beethoven, Charles Darwin and Isaac Newton, just to name a few. They all suffered from vivid hallucinations and other mental disorders. They say there is a thin line between madness and genius. But what is a genius? As far as we know, it is an individual who experiences the world so differently that he can bring forth inventions and ideas which the social consciousness cannot. So what is he doing? Well, he is venturing on the other side of the socially accepted state of consciousness. But excuse me, does that make him insane? Lets turn this around, shall we? Consider that what we can define as insane, is not someone who posses the ability of accessing multiple states of consciousness, but someone who cannot live in a world which consist of many different states of consciousness. In other words, the insane persona, can only live in his own world and discards all others as abnormal - ignorance. Well, this is rather strange to consider, because it implies that our society of people are insane. We are so paranoid about our state of consciousness, that we lock up other people whom seem to present another way of experiencing reality. But then these very same people, are those who bring forth the greatest evolutionary discoveries. In other words, expansion of consciousness moves the human evolution forwards, and restriction of consciousness prevents evolution from occurring. Is it possible, that people with psychotic experiences, have simply opened themselves up towards more of what life has to offer? After all, isnt it the people with psychotic experiences which bring us more of what life has to offer? But because we live in a society so paranoid about these things, those whom experience psychotic episodes has to do everything in their might to hide it. Imagine how frightening that would be! And now imagine what they would bring forth if it was embraced and encouraged. Next time you see a man on the street whom claims there is a giant penis hanging from the sun, and that he can move it every time he dances, well, stop and ask some questions. After all, if you are so sure that you are in the normal state of consciousness, why should you be paranoid? You can only be scared if you are unsure about your own sanity. Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, two great psychologist of our time, did stop to ask questions. Thus they began to formulate the concept of mass consciousness and the collective unconscious. What they discovered, through enormous confirmation by the use of psychoanalysis, was that we all share symbolic dreams. This wasnt a new discovery, they said, because when they asked the Native Americans and Aboriginals about the penis hanging from the sun, they said oh, he is just making the wind blow, because they too describe a giant tube hanging from the sun, which would cause the wind to blow when they performed certain ritual dances. (this is just one out of thousands of coincidental examples between modern dreams/hallucinations and ancient mythology) Ancient mythology explained that the world of dreams and hallucinations is connected to our everyday world in the same way the back of a coin is connected to the front. And they interact with each other. In other words, in the ancient times, psychotic experiences where not insane, but fundamental to their way of life (for more information, look into Joseph Campbell). And, ermh, who lived more harmoniously with the earth? And what the hell have we done in the past 100 years? Now, I am not saying that we are sane or insane, because quite frankly, I dont think there is a way to measure the two. In other words - we dont know. Which is good, because it leaves everything open. It is only when I say this is sane and that is insane that I begin to suffer from paranoia. Thus, we shouldnt suppress and discriminate others experience of reality. Whats the point? It just cause YOU to be unsure of your consciousness, obviously. I have had these so called psychotic episodes myself, and to me, they are extremely difficult to deal with, but they come with extraordinary insights. I have a very close friend of mine, whom deals with these experiences also (much more so then I do), and she is one of the most interesting people I have ever spoken to. So please, dont discard these people as weird or strange, and dont try to readjust them to your world. Rather, show an interest in their world, because you never know what they may tell you!
