The MV broke records by being the first to hit 1 billion views, but then it went right on to reaching 2 billion views. Regardless, its popularity is not winding down anytime soon as a recent post by YouTube reveals that the MV is still going strong and jokes that the site needs an upgrade to accommodate. The max integer for 32 bit is 232 or 2,147,483,647 and Gangnam Style recently surpassed that mark in views. YouTube wrote, We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY.
