Ptr Joe Sauco With All My Heart A PROMISE FROM GOD: Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave whither thou goest. GODS MESSAGE FOR ME TODAY: We live in an Age of Mediocrity. It is a hot topic in many books today because were in a mediocre world where most just want to either get by or get over and so to do more than that without proper returns isn’t worth it. Thats why Christians of all people need to be excellent on whatever task God gives us to fulfill. The Bible says Christians of all people ought to do their best on the job. We ought to set the standards for excellence. We ought to be the example for everybody else so they give the due reverence to the name we carry – the Lord Christ. Matthew 5:16. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. God says let your light shine on your good deeds so that when people look at you they can say, He is such a person of excellence. He simply works with style and quality.” Your kind of excellence make people wonder and ask: “What’s in him that makes him just the best all the time?” Every time we push ourselves to the limit, every time we strive with our highest potential, every time we refuse to settle for any less than our best we give God the glory due His name. We get the opportunity to share the God we serve and the authenticity of our faith to those who get intrigued with our motivation in this life. And do you know that when you do something to the best of your ability because you want to honor God, it opens the door to His abundant grace and blessings? That means what is impossible for others to do will be possible for you to accomplish. What is difficult for others to pull together will be easier for you. What might go worse for others will go better with you. You will achieve more than the rest and none will enjoy the fruit of your labor more than God and you together. That’s why no matter what we do whether it’s glamorous or not, whether it’s great or simple we should give it our best shot. Thats the way God wants us to live. Hes saying that the quality of our work is a reflection of our faith. Some of you say, I just cant witness in my school or on the job. But you are a witness whether you think so or not. Its just a question of what kind of a witness are you -- good or bad. Your study habits, your work, your quality is an evidence of your faith. Are you doing it with all your might? Are you letting your light shine? Does that make God proud? When I was still in the States I either did the dishes or mowed the lawn. I didn’t drag around or got sour or frustrated about any of it. I mowed the lawn with enthusiasm. I mowed it like I was on a mission from God. With every step, I thanked God that my legs worked just fine. I thanked Him that I was healthy and strong to do it. At David Wood Ministry office, I carried and fixed materials that we’d use in different churches. I thanked God that I could do it with my whole heart. I loved working for God regardless of how humble my job appeared to others. I believed that nothing is too little when we do it for the Lord. And tired as I was and without enough sleep, I never regretted being a volunteer while at the church in Albuquerque New Mexico. No, I believed it was an honor to serve God and so I would always gladly do it and even with all my might. When you honor God, He’ll honor you. When He is the reason why you are doing what you are doing and that you are doing it with all that you’ve got He’ll give you joy, peace, health and favor that this world cannot give. MY PRAYER FOR TODAY: Father God, thank You for Your hand of blessing on my life. I choose today to serve You with my whole heart and do everything to the best of my ability in little and in great task. Thank You for the strength and the grace and Your faithfulness that enable me to do it all for the sake of Your glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.
