Do not use ice made from this water. The water should be brought to a vigorous boil and then allowed to boil for at least one (1) minute before being allowed to cool in a covered container. You may wash clothing in the contaminated water and bathe in it as long as you do not consume it. EPA has set enforceable requirements for treating drinking water to reduce the risk of these adverse health effects. Treatment such as filtering and disinfecting the water removes or destroys microbiological contaminants.
