Public Notice The Upper Gwynedd Lions Club will be conducting their annual Thanksgiving morning “Turkey Shoot” on 11-28-13. This over 40 year old tradition is held to the rear of 425 Moyers Blvd. North Wales, the current home of Dunkerly Construction. The event is a fund raiser for a number of local charities. Registration is based upon first come first served starting at 7:30am with the competition starting at 8:30. What is a “Turkey Shoot” you ask? Well, it has nothing to do with shooting turkeys or any other animals, but it is a target shooting competition held in a pre-approved location with an ample safety zone. Competitors use a shot gun to shoot at a block of wood with the winner having the shot closest to the center. The winner of each competition will win either a turkey or a ham. Please consider coming out to test your skills and perhaps win a prize while taking part in a long standing Thanksgiving tradition all for a good cause.
