[Public Report] After a 29 hours door to door travel, filled with sitting around, walking, or running, without any sleep for me, and plenty of sleep/snore/doze for the kids, we are finally back to our pond, where we lead real life. It was raining when we touched down in London. Prebooked taxi cost £66, good job that, as I only had exactly £70 with me. With 4 suitcases and 4 bags all dumped in front of the house, the door wouldnt open because of the huge piles of letters, mails, take away spams, and newspapers jammed behind the door. (It was still raining - mind you) When we finally got inside the house, I was ready to just crash into bed. Being awake for almost 40 hours (on the road with 2 kids - not partying) is definitely not for me. Children were all happy and giddy to see a familiar place, with their toys and their books, and their art works... (They were well rested - you see) I begged... begged... begged... them to have a nap so that poor mummy could have a sleep. Well, that didnt really happen. Anyway, long story short, here I am, 24 hours since touch down. Children have been playing hide-and-seek since 3am (due to jetlag) and are still going strong. I remain alive. Not sure how, but a human body must have been very resilliant. Went through the mails/letters/spams already (all newspapers go straight to the recycle bin). I am happy to announce that my investment account has yielded £0.53 in the last 6 months, and that my current account has gained £0.03 interest for the last month. Anyone interested in sharing this newfound wealth are welcome to drop by... (please bring with you a pint of full fat milk, a loaf of bread, a dozen of eggs, and if you dont mind, several pots of yogurt). Now... I am going to courageously scale the north face of Laundry Mountain - also known as the tallest mountain in Bedfordshire-Buckinghamsire-Cambridgeshire. Did we really have that holiday? It feels like a dream. A dim and distant one... [This is Ulan, signing out]
