Public letter to John Walsh Someone can forward it to him, - TopicsExpress

Public letter to John Walsh Someone can forward it to him, because I blocked him a year ago after his constant complaining, negativity, and excessive use of dollar signs. And so you know, Im not upset, mostly because I know where its coming from. John, Thank you for the hilarious post on your wall, and the poor quality photoshop job putting a batman mask on my face, and making a the bat symbol with by name in it. Can you put a batgirl suit on my fiance, because she was ready to run up and talk with the man on the bridge, and she is often with me when I am helping out someone. So to clarify a few things for you; I have been helping out and assisting at accident scenes, fundraising events, and just about anywhere someone needs a hand for years, NOT just this month because of an upcoming election. I believe in helping and getting things done, rather than sitting back and complaining that something should have been done. I am not a paid reporter with the Daily Press, I do however submit pictures and stories in kind, and the media helps me out with my fundraising activities for many different organizations. ( they call it freelancing ). I also take pictures at events and give them to the organization, free of charge and royalties. Photography and helping people are like my hobby. ( pretty good hobby to have I think). Oh yeah, my $2500 camera was destroyed at a fundraising event this summer so if you have some spare $$$$$ John, feel free to pick me up a new one. Now, the most recent incident, at the overpass was a very stressful situation for everyone involved. Knowing what I have learned from assisting over the years, and my scene management courses, I was well aware of the risks I was taking blocking a two lane highway. Unfortunately, I was not in my own vehicle, so did not have the fancy flashing orange lights you talk about with me. I bought those $500 lights by the way out of my own pocket for fundraising events AND for my own safety when stopping on the highway or side roads to help motorists, which I do very often. Im sorry if you dont like orange, but the red ones are reserved for police, fire and ambulance. At the recent incident, I would have preferred to have my lights, and one of my reflective volunteer vests on for better visibility but it WAS light outside, and a red SUV should be visible sideways across the lanes with the door open if drivers were paying attention. Only the one transport driver didnt seem to notice the SUV and the other stopped vehicles. He was very apologetic after stopping. Even then, I would rather have my SUV get hit, than 2 officers and a civilian, if they had happened to have fell over while pulling the man back onto the bridge. In closing, thanks John, for bringing me into the spotlight in on your wall, in such a positive way so people not following me on my facebook profile can get to know me and what I stand for. ALL year, not just before an election. Oh yeah.. WARD 4, I need your vote. :-) not your $$$$$$$ .
