Public sector strike – tell us what you think Schools, libraries, and courts across Greater Manchester will shut down on Thursday in one of the biggest strike actions to grip the region. Organisers are expecting around 100,000 people to take part in the strike. Nearly all schools in Manchester will close along with hundreds more – in full or in part – across the region as teachers protest workloads, pay and pensions.
