Published: Friday March 14, 2014 | 12:00 am 1 Comment Police Commissioner, Owen Ellington Police Commissioner, Owen Ellington The Police High Command is commending the investigators and prosecutors for what it calls their proficient investigation and delivery of the evidence, which led to the conviction of Adidja ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer and three of his co-accused for the August 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. The verdict was as follows: Adidja Palmer – GUILTY Shawn Campbell – GUILTY Kahira Jones – GUILTY Shane Williams – Not GUILTY Andre St John – GUILTY They are to be sentenced on March 27. Over the last two years, police investigators and prosecutors have worked assiduously to put a very strong and comprehensive case together, the police high command said. The Police High Command has also commended the witnesses who came forward in this case which it said in effect was a test of the country’s justice system. The coming forward of the witnesses to ensure justice is served is testament to how our justice system can work if citizens stand up and play their part, the High Command added. The Police High Command is also making a special appeal to individuals who have strong influence over communities and the youths in particular to use that influence in a positive manner to bring about change in united manner.
