Published into Daily Herald, SMN News and Today SXM: Experience magazine wins photography award St. Maarten/MIAMI – HCP/Aboard Publishing was recently honored by the Florida Magazine Association with a prestigious Charlie Award for its annual publication, Experience Sint Maarten/Saint Martin, produced in partnership with the St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA). Noted for its spectacular photography and informative articles, the publication is a product of the fruitful and long-running partnership between the SHTA and HCP/Aboard Publishing. Experience Sint Maarten/Saint Martin received the FMA’s Silver Award for Design Excellence/Best Single Photography for “A Divine Abode”, a multi-page feature highlighting the extraordinary and diverse real estate offerings available to those hoping to make their home on the island. Recognizing achievements by Florida magazines since 1957, the FMA’s annual Charlie Awards competition crowns publishers, writers, editors, artists, photographers, printers, marketers and others as the best among their peers in scores of categories. Juried by a panel of noteworthy professionals in the magazine and newspaper industries, as well as college journalism professors, the annual competition draws hundreds of entries each year. The FMA recognized photographer Thierry Dehove, whose work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal and Condé Nast Traveler, among other publications, as well as Managing Editor Rosa M. Calderon and Art Director Ethan Duran for their work on Experience Sint Maarten/Saint Martin. The annual publication showcases the best of what makes St. Maarten/St. Martin a distinctive and desirable locale – from its high-end hotels, robust culinary scene and luxury shopping to its natural wonders and vibrant arts and cultural offerings. The award-winning 2013 edition of Experience Sint Maarten/Saint Martin can currently be found at hotels, shops and other establishments located throughout the island.
