Publishing Opportunity Dear Colleague, We would like to announce a publishing opportunity. Please see the announcement below: The SAGE Encyclopedia of Marriage, Family, and Couples Counseling, to be published in 2016, is presently in the works. Dr. Jon Carlson and Dr. Shannon Dermer will be serving as the General Editors of this four-volume set. The Editorial Board is composed of Katherine Helm, Susan McDaniel, Leslie Greenberg, Alan Hovestadt, James Bitter, Scott Browning, William Doherty, Fred Piercy, Jay Lebow, and Robert Smith. We are seeking contributors for the Encyclopedia. The encyclopedia will be a fully comprehensive and accessible reference for understanding the scope and diversity of theories, approaches, and techniques addressing the dynamics of families, couples, and interpersonal relationships. The encyclopedia will include essays covering models, interventions, techniques, assessments, professional development standards, and much more with an emphasis on providing clear and current information that is easily understood by the educated reader. Entries should be written at a level appropriate for students who do not have an extensive background in the social sciences. There are approximately 500 entries (if you accept the invitation to publish you will have access to unassigned entries) related to marriage, couple, and family counseling. For example, some sample entry topics are: play family therapy, pre-marital counseling, narrative therapy, multisystemic family therapy, phases of family therapy, joining, marriage enrichment, infidelity treatment, mindfulness, reflecting teams, and second-order family therapy.
