Job Title: E-Commerce Content and Site Merchandising Assistant, Spanish Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai Experience: 0 -1 year Salary: 1.5 lac pa Job Responsibilities: Generate and upload product and product descriptions in Spanish on the website as per the requirement from commercial, marketing and e-commerce teams. Coordinate with respective departments whenever required to get accurate feedback on content uploaded and to incorporate the changes as suggested. Ensure that deadlines are strictly met, especially for high profile product launches. Working with our International team to ensure that all product descriptions are submitted on time and of the required quality. Able to edit content and create it as and when needed. Ensure consistency of graphic asset e.g. viewpoints, sizing, ratios, image resolutions etc Site maintenance through frequent site checks e.g. ensure that all products are allocated at the right categories. Action any amends quickly. Perform site check on new products to ensure that all new products are reflecting on the site correctly. Flag up any broken / missing links to the web development team and follow up from time to time to ensure that the its fixed. Assist in UAT of the website whenever upgrades are launched as per the requirement. Required Skills: You love digital entertainment - you have pockets full of gadgets right now and a decent collection of games and DVDs back home - you absorb what you read about technology simply because you are crazy about it. You are open to new ideas and can embrace a business model that most companies have forgotten. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication, team working and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of HTML (using Dreamweaver or any other html editor if not proficient in html) and Photoshop (or any open source imaging application like Gimp). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Awareness of current online / E-commerce industry news. Strong commercial awareness, knowledge of the High Street and an understanding of competitor websites. An understanding of the internet and experience in using E-commerce tools. Technical writers currently working on e-learning courseware development and looking to make a career in E-commerce content development most welcome.
