***Puggles*** Today on FB I wanted to focus on one little dog whom I named Puggles I actually did expect her owner to turn up. But they havent. So I now suspect that this dogs impoundment is no coincidence. Im not sure who brought her in. Maybe a ranger? Maybe a member of the general public? Maybe her owner couldnt afford to pay their vet to euthanise her? Maybe they couldnt afford to legally surrender her? Maybe they are pieces of shit and just couldnt be arsed to spend extra money. When youve been in rescue for a while - nothing shocks you anymore. The DUMPING of an old, deaf, blind dog without a backward glance is certainly not unheard of! Whatever the case may be - Im glad shes finally here with PFT. Today, 3 people have been so kind. A). Donation to purchase her BBQ chicken for her remaining days. B). Donation to pay for her professional groom tomorrow. C). Donation to go towards her medication to make her comfortable. Tonight - our girl enjoyed her dinner. And this makes me very, very happy. As a rescuer - these saves are the hardest both emotionally & physically. For me this will not be an easy journey. I rescue dogs to save & rehome them. Sometimes the best I can offer my foster dogs is simple palliative care, when they need it the most. BBQ chicken ROCKS though. If it makes my girl happy - then Im happy.
