Punch Comment: How is strike a serious work? Tell me how your LECTURER brother, father or friend has been WORKING, since they have been at home for about 5 MONTHS, just EATING, DRINKING AND SLEEPING. What is the work that they have been doing, for which you expect them to be paid? Wages are earned! No country pays WORKERS FOR NOT WORKING! It is not done! These LECTURERS are employees, just like other workers! And they have their CONTRACTS OF EMPLOYMENT, just like any other worker. WHY SHOULD THEY BE PAID FOR WORK THAT THEY DID NOT DO? Some of you need to expunge this caveman or primitive mentality, and smell the coffee, and observe how it is done elsewhere. Nigeria is not peculiar, in having employment laws. Nobody gets paid when they have not worked!
