Purchase of a Wii U today (its under the Christmas tree, so keep - TopicsExpress

Purchase of a Wii U today (its under the Christmas tree, so keep it quiet to the kids, family) makes for an interesting few footnotes for my lifelong video game habit. - This marks the second time Ive owned two generations of Nintendo consoles back-to-back. The only other time was the NES and SNES. I never owned an N64 or Gamecube. - This marks only the third time Ive ever owned any game console in consecutive generations. In addition to the NES-SNES purchases, I also have the Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One hat trick. - Nintendo now holds the record as the company that has sold me the most individual consoles (NES, SNES, Wii and Wii U), breaking the tie with the Xbox brand. - This marks only the second time Ive owned more than one current-gen console at the same time. The first time was the last time, with the Wii and the 360. - Yes, folks.. this means Ive never done any of these with the PlayStation. I owned the original PS console (two of them, actually). I did buy a PS2 when they were new but resold it days later as they were red hot on eBay, so I dont count that one. No, I have nothing against PlayStation... they just havent driven me to find buying one over another for a few generations now, so there. (Note, I do not count handhelds in these notes. Once briefly owned a Game Boy, and presently we have a DS and a 3DS in the household, though, for the record. I also dont count consoles I purchased well after they were out of production, such as the Sega Master System and Genesis, both of which I only bought a few years ago)
