Pure and Simple Facts about Islam and the Qur’an The Qur’an or Koran (as some write it) is the “Bible” for Islam. It however was written by ONE man unlike religious books of other religions which are collections of writings done over a period of centuries. It also has contradictions as the holy texts of other religions do. But THAT is where it stops. The PEACEFUL passages which many Muslims like to refer to so as to demonstrate how their religion is one of peace are in the early books. The later books contain the violence. The Qur’an instructs that where there is any contradiction the latter writing supersedes the former. And the Qur’an requires faithful adherents to accept the ENTIRE book and not to pick and choose parts as followers of other religions do. Therefore the VIOLENT parts of the Qur’an is what is to be actually given attention, since it overrules the PEACEFUL parts. And while TRUTH is highly valued in other religions, it is perfectly acceptable and even encouraged to LIE to non-Muslims so as to disarm resistance to Islam and to further its proliferation.
