#PurposeDiscoverySeries I would like to start todays series with this interesting story, so as to convey my point very strongly to your understanding. There once live a Baby Eagle that was forgotten the moment the mum delivered it. A mother Hen came to the spot where the Baby Eagle was forgotten, and decided to tend, care and baby sit the eagle until it hatched. The baby Eagle grew up with the Chicks of the Mother Hen looking different and awkward. As they grew up together, the Baby Eagle lived a Chicken life, scratched the ground for worms like the chicken, and walked without the capacity to fly high. Most times, the chicks would laugh at him (Baby Eagle), due to his big long strong beaks and fiery sharp claws. The Baby Eagle became ashamed of it self and hated it self. He would scratch his beak on the walls to reduce and trim it. He totally felt ugly without a single knowledge of his capacity as an Eagle. This Baby Eagle dreamt chicken dreams, had chicken ambitions (like to wake up one day, climb up the fence and crow out loud), had chicken thoughts, fed on chicken foods and lived a chicken life. One day, while they were toiling the ground for worms, this Baby Eagle looked up above the horizon for the first time and saw a bird of his kind for the first time. This great Eagle soared high, hovering around them and caused fear amongst the chicks and even the mother hen. They all went into hiding except for this Baby Eagle. Its ambition saw a new light immediately. He thought to himself, I wish I could fly that high and soar so freely without struggling with the winds. The Eagle noticed his dilemma and came to his rescue. You were never a chicken, He said to the Baby Eagle. That you grew amongst chickens does not make you one. You are greater than you think and know that you are. You were actually born with the potential to soar above high mountains and hunt other birds below your kind and not scratch the ground for worms. From that point forward, the Baby Eagle keyed into the understanding behind its own creation, tapped into his God given potentials and lived his Eagle dream. So many of us can never discover our purpose, until we look beyond inferiority complex, let go of our chicken dreams look deep down to whom we really are, and tap into our God given potentials for greatness. Ye are gods..... Step one... Answer your self these questions. Who am I? And what on Earth am I here for? What is my personal value? © Amb. Young Anyanwu Writes.
