Pursue is delighted to announce that it has been awarded an expansion on its current UK Conflict Prevention (CP) programme in Lebanon. As with our previous programmes, the project aims to bolster stability in the country by strategically enhancing governance and security in the Palestinian camps, working closely with partner Palestinian stakeholders and the community to help contain the ripple effects of the Syrian crisis. The programme, which runs from September 2013 to March 2014, will engage with local governance structures in all 12 camps to to better identify and respond to community needs, and support the delivery of tangible service provision improvements and outputs. The project will also specifically encourage youth participation in this process, and aims to work with youth groups in four key camps to develop conflict mitigation mechanisms. Last year’s legal aid project will also resume ensuring continued provision of services to applicants, including psycho-social support.
