Putin just essentially declared victory in Ukraine. He invaded, and we did nothing. Ukraine has now essentially surrendered. Russia now controls the east. Obama still refuses to use the word invade. This is a really dangerous point. Recall that Obama and Candy Crowley and the media made fun of Romney about him saying that Russia was the biggest threat. Nobody is laughing now. It may well be that Putin is just beginning his march and intimidation-just as NATO and the US have essentially disarmed. Next week is Sept 11. Most of those who follow these things believe there will be a terror attack or attempted attack in Europe and some sort of event here. Obama might—might-- finally have no choice but to order US military attacks combined with the UK, UAE, Saudi, Kurds, and even Russia. The Chechens have lashed out at ISIS this week as threatening them and Russia, and those guys take out their enemies. The good news is ISIS blew it by staging barbarity against everyone, just like the Nazis, and by threatening Russia and others. The only one who seems not to get it is Obama. Even Biden gets it and raged at a speech yesterday. The next few months are going to get very messy and ugly. There will be terror attacks and others threatened. This is going to be an extremely dangerous period. Will Obama attack these barbarians and to arm the Ukrainians and Kurds? Obama is not arming the Kurds because of some supposed legal issue. The Kurdish vice prime minister went on US TV yesterday to rage about this insanity. I don’t think any of this needed to happen. This is all a result of Obama having no clue how to handle world events and Hillary just going along, or even supporting, and lying about his terrible decisions and policies. (Benghazi.) He seemed to think he was the messiah of peace and the world operated like a black community in Chicago where people were mesmerized by his prevarications. The real world is made up of many really bad people like Putin, ISIS, Maliki, Assad, and others of that ilk. These people kill with no afterthought. For all intents and purposes Obama lives in some make believe world where he thinks things changed this century and all he had to do was withdraw to the homeland and let the rest of the world work it out by themselves while he raised the minimum wage, massively expanded entitlements, took over healthcare, and allowed in a couple of million Latino immigrants who would vote Democratic even if they were not entitled to vote. (That’s why he and Holder do not want voter ID laws). We are now at the culmination of not having supported the Iranian demonstrators, not bombing after the red line was crossed, not leaving 25,000 US troops and the CIA in Iraq, letting Iran off the sanctions hook and allowing a revival of their economy, not leading from the front in Libya and securing a stable government, not confronting Putin in Ukraine, not arming the Ukrainians, not arming the Free Syrian army, not attacking ISIS three years ago when they could have been stopped, not taking the lead and moving strongly in Libya, not retaliating for Benghazi and lying instead, and closing Guantanamo to new prisoners which allowed all of the top leaders of ISIS to be freed from our prisons in Iraq to go on to form ISIS. All of these things were seen by the bad guys for what they are-- stupid, terrible decisions by a weak guy who has no understanding of the world and who sees himself as the great peacemaker transforming the world. The result is Russia invading Ukraine and threatening Europe, Iran continuing enrichment and moving toward a bomb, ISIS taking over Iraq, Assad remaining in power and now in a position to bargain with us, Hamas attacking Israel, no prospect of peace in the mid east, and China on the move in the South China Sea. Thanks to Obama and Hillary, the world is arguably in the worst mess and most dangerous position it has been since 1938. And this arrogance and naivety is around for another two years. Some hated Bush and Cheney, but they got it. They understood that the world is partly led by a bunch of really bad murderers, and playing nice only encourages them. The Arab Spring failed miserably because it takes a murderous dictator to control those people and that culture. Our only hope in that region is Israel, and Obama and Samantha Powers still fail to get that. If there is a successful attack on the US, Obama is directly to blame. If there is an attack in New York you can blame the ACLU and DeBlasio for ending the surveillance of extremist Muslims. We may be reliving history in the run up to WWI or WWII when equally foolish leaders closed their eyes to evil and did nothing when they had a chance.
