Putrid singing duet from the 1940s, The Terry Twins (Ardelle Dame and Arlene Wolf of Georgia). The were still around in the 50s but mainly as models, no one could bare to hear them singing, though in 1946 theyd had a semi-hit song with Chiquita Banana instructing people how to care for an eat the then-mysterious new fruit on the market (the song outlasted the Terry Twins for later tv commercials). They did USO shows around the world entertaining the troops. In 1950 they had a brief tv career of their own, as the original Toni Twins, on a show called Toni Twins Time, hosted by then-unknown Jack Lemmon, and brought to you by Toni home perms. Thered be other Toni Twins later on, overlapping with the Doublemint Twins.
