“Puuuuurely hypothetical situation”…A retiring couple buys a home on 10 acres, after spending 30 years in the military. Excited about putting down roots and staying put for a while, a discussion between the two strikes up: Wife: I think we should fence off one of the fields and get some cows, and chickens. Husband: Nope we can’t do that, cause you’ll name them and then they will be pets and we wouldn’t be able to eat them. The wife protest and makes her argument but to no avail. After much debate, the husband is firm in his decision…NO Cows! Wife: Well I’m going to seed the fields with grass seed, and get rid of the bahia grass that is out there now its just too hard to keep up with, ok. Husband: sure, we wont be needing the hay anyway! After two very hot summers and a lot of hard work, the second season of seeding showed signs of nice centipede grass springing up all over…Finally she should be able to keep it cut and looking nice! Then one day on the front porch having morning coffee.... Husband: Have you seen the price of beef lately, and we are going through some eggs…I think we need to get some cows and chickens, so we will be able to eat…. Wife: “really, huh…why didn’t I think of that!” Husband: Well if we get the cows, we’re gonna need hay to feed them…looks like we are gonna have to get rid of the centipede and replant the front field in bahia grass for hay….. Wife:……(looking down at her cup...contemplating if she’s had enough coffee to dig a hole deep enough to hide the body) Hows the garden coming along?????? Nope....need more coffee!
