As Python Developer you will work as part of a talented team responsible for innovation with freedom to research and implement solutions cutting-edge technologies. You will be responsible for the following: Helping an established start-up scale both traffic and revenue through technology Helping us expand through interfacing with the APIs of new networks Improving financial accounting and improving our processing pipelines Build customer-facing new-APIs providing business intelligence to nuts-and-bolts data-access and modification. Play a key role in the development of the teams upcoming projects. Contribute ideas on how to solve the complex issues that the team face. Maintain and make incremental improvements to existing systems. Build scalable solutions capable of quickly processing large amounts of data. Responding to critical production issues that may affect revenue and debugging interactions with external systems outside our control. Deploying auto-scaling systems on Amazon EC2. Migrating legacy services Main requirements We innovate rapidly in the exciting space of content monetization and we look for somebody who can keep up with our pace. You will need experience in the following: Strong working knowledge of Python. Proven track record of working within Python framework. Experience working in a Linux environment Knowledge of, or keen interest in a functional language (preferably Clojure). Ability to pick up new languages quickly (currently Ruby, PHP, Go, C, Clojure, and Node.js are also used in production within Skimlinks). Knowledge of an SQL database such as MySQL or PostgreSQL Comfortable working in an Agile environment Above all, youre full of initiative and can turn your hand to the new: we move quickly, and not knowing exactly what will need to be done each day is part of the excitement for you.
