#QLD #Fire #Corp BEERBURRUM - hazard reduction burn. HQ Plantations is conducting a large-scale, 40ha hazard reduction burn today along the eastern side of the Bruce Highway, between the Red Road overpass and the Johnston Road overpass near Wild Horse Mountain. The burn will conclude in the late evening. A large smoke haze will blanket the area, and motorists are urged to drive with caution. Residents are advised to keep their doors and windows closed and if they are susceptible to respiratory illnesses to keep medications close by. Source Queensland Fire and Rescue Service (QFRS)
