#QLD #Weather #Corp Coastal Waters Wind Warning For coastal waters from Double Island Point to Point Danger, including Moreton Bay. Issued at 4:45 pm EST on Tuesday 24 September 2013 Synoptic Situation A trough is expected to move across southern Queensland during today, with strengthening north to northwesterly winds expected along the far southern Queensland coast. Strong Wind Warning Double Island Point to Point Danger Expect north to northwesterly winds to increase to 25 to 30 knots from early this evening. Seas increasing to 3 metres. Winds are expected to decrease below 26 knots during early Wednesday morning. Strong Wind Warning Moreton Bay Expect north to northwesterly winds to increase to 25 to 30 knots from early this evening. Seas increasing to 1.8 metres. Winds are expected to decrease below 26 knots by very early Wednesday morning. The next warning will be issued by 11 pm AEST. Please be aware Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.
