QUESTIONING LOVE (November 10, 2013) Just what ARE we here - TopicsExpress

QUESTIONING LOVE (November 10, 2013) Just what ARE we here for? Why were we born? Other than trying to survive and to keep alive, why are we here? Each life tells a different story about the person who lived it. When I was a young mother my husband developed an interest in ruby mining. That is where you dig up bucket after bucket of dirt, put a little at a time in a sluice tray or box and run water to wash the mud away and to hopefully find rubies or garnets or whatever the mud was hiding. When you take the sum of your life so far, all the things you have done and felt and learned and mourned and celebrated and all that you think of yourself as being, place it in the sluice tray and begin to sift through it, you will find the gem. That gem is LOVE ITSELF. It is the life-giving, self-generating, creative force that has agreed to burst forth as you and all that is.. All the things that you may have gone through, including a not-so-great childhood, or a painful loss, all the choices you have made and decisions you have made that got you deeper into the nightmare or that lifted you into that fantastic dream that came true; all the characters you have been exposed to even the ones you dont remember and the ones to come; every single solitary thing is to help you wake up to what you are and what you are here to do and to be. That one thing, that life-changing, all-inclusive, phoenix -rising-from-the-ashes moment is to recognize that you are what you seek, it is your gem in the mud. It is what we came for. It is LOVE ITSELF. But if you are already love itself why are you here? I believe that you and I are here to bring it into form and to allow it to express itself in any and every means possible. Love is, God is, Allah is, whatever name you give it a FORCE that moves vibrationally, from speeds undetected by most human senses, to those so low they seem to have a solidity to them and these we human beings can detect. We have the power to pass judgement upon all vibrational manifestations be they human or events or situations. Each time we deem something not of our liking, for example, a mud-covered gem, without being able to see what is underneath, we step into a lower vibration. When we know what is underneath all that is, that perfect gem we are raising our vibrational existence to better match that Creative Force which brought us into being in the first place and that is LOVE. --Brenda A Elliott, MSW (snippet from the book I am birthing)
