Quail - family - protection By Vickie Graff Quail brings us the medicine of family and the protection the family brings. Many sacrifices are made within a family. Sometimes it is the parents who gives and protects. Sometimes it is the children with love and respect. But always it takes understanding and a willingness to get along. The family circle when created in love is a beautiful thing. When the family circle is abusive, we sometimes need to start our own family circle, but within whatever family circle you have love, respect, understanding, patience and a giving spirit is needed. To be selfish and spiteful within a family circle only causes hurt and pain. The family unit once created needs to be protected from all members of the family. Nothing is more cute or precious then to see a Quail family with all their little chicks in tow. So remember the blessings of family today, in time of joy or difficulties, in sickness and in laughter, for it is each member that brings the meaning of family to its true reality, to its true heart and its true loyalty. Quail also brings the medicine to act quickly when we are in danger. To hold our heads up, stand erect and tall, when traveling and be ready to react. For being aware of our surroundings is important and very wise. Quail sings of life and warnings, he sings so his voice can be heard, he sings to give his location and let others know his place and stance. He stands for his land, his sacred home and his family. He is a brave little bird. Be brave in your world today and sing, sing, sing, when your in your safe place.
