Quality Assurance Team Lead Vacancy Details An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Quality Assurance Department for a Team Leader within the Engineering and Manufacturing team. Primary Role Outline: 1. To develop the Companys Business Management System to accurately define the processes required in order to meet the companys business objectives and to drive a change to a process view of the business. 2. To support Project Quality Engineers in reviewing contractual obligations for related products and determine the company’s capability to proceed without commercial risks related to quality requirements. 3. To ensure that the company meets and maintains design and post-design quality obligations under approvals/accreditations including ISO 9001:2000/AS9100, EASA 21J and G,UK MoD, BCAR, Lockheed. 4. Maintain and administer the Quality Assurance Audit program to monitor compliance with all national and international standards, company procedures and capabilities as necessary under current company approvals/accreditations. 5. To be a focal point for engineering and manufacturing quality within the company and to provide support, advice and co-operation on all design and post-design quality matters proactively and when called. 6. To liaise with the Customers Quality Representatives and regulatory authorities on engineering and manufacturing quality matters. 7. Establishing and maintaining methods to measure analyse and continually improve through a process of robust reporting metrics in support of departmental and company performance within engineering and manufacturing with particular emphasis on quality, cost and delivery. Main Duties: a. Providing quality support to develop engineering and manufacturing processes. b. Checking and approving (where appropriate) Design Specifications, Statements of Work, Letters of Initiation and concessions. c. Review and authorisation of skill code applications. d. Investigation in to quality failure within engineering and manufacturing departments to identify trends and to facilitate remedial action. e. Co-ordination of staff tasking and work loads to meet requirements and ensure effective communication between QAEs and senior QA management. f. Develop and manage the Quality Assurance Audit programme with the Team Leader QA Audit Management to ensure surveillance is appropriate to our scope of approvals. g. Develop relationships and processes with customers, regulators and other bodies to ensure proactive achievement of the company objectives. john.shoobert@aeropeople
