Quanah is one of many powerful voices in Native History. I highly recommend the book "Ride The Wind" by Lucia Saint Claire (spelling may not be right), Ride The Wind. It is the story of his white mother Cynthia Anne Parker, who was stolen as a child with other members of her family and she grew up among Comanche. Although she was born "white", there is NO DOUBT that in the end she died a Comanche. Excellent story of truth and again....I HIGHLY recommend this book.......~NC~ ( ps. I have read this book no less than a dozen times).
