Quantum Mechanics is a metaphysical green zone. It is a haven for crackpots like Deepak Chopra to shelter their untenable ideas and enjoy protection from an ever-rising sea of scientific understanding. As long as Quantum Mechanics is confusing and mysterious, everything else thats confusing and mysterious - and most likely not true - can be explained by its vague mechanisms without suffering the immediate and embarrassing discursive dismantling to which claims made about the world at larger magnifications are so vulnerable.
