Queens Park Rangers have signed Tottenham full-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto on a season-long loan deal. Assou-Ekotto, 29, makes the move to the Championship club after being displaced by Danny Rose, who impressed during a loan spell at Sunderland last season, in the left-back position. The Cameroon international reunites with former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp at Loftus Road after confirming the move on his Twitter account. Assout-Ekotto tweeted, “Lets go to QPR ! I ll keep one eyes on u spurs hv a good luck this season.”(sic) The left-back made 195 appearances in all competitions during seven years at the White Hart Lane club, scoring four goals.
