Queridos Amigos de Mundo Verde, Today, Mundo Verde is joining #GivingTuesday, a global day to celebrate and practice generosity, to inspire giving and to publicly launch our capital campaign. This year at Thanksgiving, we considered all the things we are thankful for at Mundo Verde: a great community of staff, educators and families; strong student results; increasing recognition of our work, and this year-a place to call our own. It is hard to believe that we have now been in our new home for over three months. Our vision of a long term home for Mundo Verde is coming alive in concrete everyday experiences. While we are already enjoying part of our new space, the dream is not yet complete. We have secured approximately $15 million of our total $16 million needed to make the most of our new home. While we work to raise our last million, the steel beams have been going up for “La Casita,” our Preschool building, and we have begun work on our outside play and learning spaces.
